Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical BIM Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems in commercial, residential, and industrial projects. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and project teams to ensure accurate and efficient BIM execution, adhering to industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, modify, and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Interpret and integrate electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications into BIM models.
• Assist in clash detection and conflict resolution using Navisworks or other coordination tools.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Generate shop drawings, installation details, and as-built models for electrical systems.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to support project execution.
• Maintain and update BIM libraries and families for electrical components.
• Provide support for BIM-related training, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical BIM modeling within the AEC industry.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Understanding of electrical design principles, conduit layouts, lighting, and power distribution.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
